Saxophonist and composer Kevin Figes presents Sound Dimensions, an ambitious new project featuring Arts Council-commissioned works inspired by three pioneering figures of 20th-century Italian music: Ennio Morricone, Luigi Nono and Bruno Maderna.
Bringing together the Bristol Ensemble alongside acclaimed vocalist Brigitte Beraha, bassist Ashley John Long, electronics artist Gaz Williams and a host of leading jazz, rock and contemporary classical musicians from across the South West, the performance blends orchestral textures, improvisation and electronic sound.
A composer known for continually expanding his musical language, Figes marks a bold new chapter with this richly imaginative and genre-crossing work.
