Electronic musician and composer Hannah Peel unites with Paraorchestra to unfurl their new album, inspired by the cyclical nature of life.

The Unfolding is a major new work by Hannah Peel, commissioned by and performed with Paraorchestra and conducted by Charles Hazlewood, taking a cyclical journey from the very atoms of human existence and the awakening of life, through to our eventual re-folding back into the elements. It features a glorious fourteen-piece ensemble of acoustic and electronic instruments as well as human voice for a transportive, playful, and otherworldly sonic experience.

The Unfolding follows the huge success of Hannah’s 2021 Mercury Award-nominated album Fir Wave and is due for release on Real World Records in Spring 2022.

Opening is a new commission from Bristol-based composer and Associate Music Director for Paraorchestra Lloyd Coleman, in a work inspired by the beauty and complexity of algorithms – on all aspects of our world.
